Made with soul:- cottages in Goght Urban Valley are distinguished by high energy efficiency and environmental friendly.
In a collaborative initiative between Goght Urban Valley and the RA Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (R2E2), an energy audit was conducted on its prototype townhouse projects in May 2023.
As disclosed by Melkonian in April 2024, following to the audit, all four model projects were granted energy passports and energy performance certificates for the buildings. The single-storey cottages (type A1 and A2) received A class energy efficiency certificates, while the two-storey cottages (type B1 and B2) attained A+ class certificates. These findings affirm the energy efficiency of the townhouses as determined by the energy audit.
"The exceptional energy efficiency ratings were achieved through the strategic integration of cutting-edge technologies," the entrepreneur explained. "This includes advanced thermal insulation for exterior walls and coatings, specialized double-glazed windows featuring multifunctional glass and energy-saving coatings to minimize heat loss, and the strategic utilization of roof surfaces for the installation of autonomous solar photovoltaic stations boasting a capacity of 5 kW."
"Throughout the heating season, thermal energy consumption for heating and ventilation is projected at 9,500 kWh, with a requisite capacity of 9 kW," he continued. "Given the absence of gas infrastructure in the area, heating relies solely on electricity."
"In the present climate, reliance on gas presents significant risks in terms of cost and supply stability. Consequently, Goght Urban Valley offers homeowners access to environmentally friendly and modern heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and lighting technologies, which promise far greater efficiency than gas in the long run," Melkonyan emphasized.
"To reduce energy consumption, the proposal advocates for the adoption of air-to-water heat pumps. These systems promise to slash energy usage by 2-4.5 times, consequently reducing CO2 emissions by an equivalent margin. Additionally, the versatility of these devices extends to functioning as air conditioners during warmer seasons. Complementing these efforts, residences will feature both natural and mechanical ventilation systems."
"For exterior lighting, energy-efficient LED lights will be employed, further enhancing sustainability measures," the entrepreneur highlighted. "Undoubtedly, our clients stand to benefit substantially from the integration of such technologies, as they pave the way for significant reductions in electricity bills in the long run.”
